Twice former champion García (32-2-1, 20 KOs) did not let up on Michael Landero battering away (15-6-4, 5 KOs) until the fight was stopped at 1:49 of round three.

Three-division world champion Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel (47-4-2, 37 KOs) scored a ninth round KO over Indonesian Angky Angkota (25-7, 14 KOs) in a jr. featherweight clash. Montiel dropped Angkota for the count with a body shot in the ninth to get the win at 2:32. “Tonight I showed that I am back. And to all of the people who believed in me, I want to tell you that we’re once again going after the big fights. I hope that later this year I will get a world title opportunity and capture the fourth title that we both desire,” Montiel said.

Due to the setback the promoter refunded all of those in attendance what they had paid; making this a free event. (Boxrec) - ALA Promotions has announced it is “taking legal action against the person behind this act of deceit” in reference to a Mexican agent identified as Victor Hugo Correa who was contracted to send Genaro “Poblanito” Garcia who had a record of 38-8 with 22 knockouts and had fought eight world champions but instead switched fighters and sent an incompetent fighter known as Genaro “Panterita” Garcia.

Southpaw Oosthuizen (18-0-1, 13 KOs) gave a great performance as he dominated from the first round against Yannick (14-2, 7 KOs) who was born in Cameroon but fights out of Australia.

Heavyweight Matt Skelton beat Tom Dallas by TKO– Round 5.
In the main event, European bantamweight belt holder Jamie McDonnell (19-2-1, 8 KOs) scored a second round knockout over former flyweight world title challenger Ivan Pozo (32-7-1, 20 KOs). After McDonnell connected with a body shot, Pozo went to a knee for the count. Time was 2:11. 45-year-old former world heavyweight title challenger Matt Skelton (26-6, 21 KOs) scored a fifth round TKO over 6’6 British prospect Tom Dallas (15-2, 11 KOs). Skelton, a former British, Commonwealth and European titleholder, beat Dallas in a one sidedshow. The fight was waved off at 1:00 of the fifth round as Skelton had Dallas on the ropes. Dallas has now registered two straight losses.

Super featherweight Vicente Escobedo beat Lonnie Smith by KO 1 / 10 - Time: 2:20 - Vacant WBO NABO super featherweight title (supervisor: Richard De Cuir)
Vicente Escobedo (25-5) won very convincingly against Lonnie Smith (14-3-2) of Las Vegas with three quick-succession knockdowns en route to a first-round TKO in their junior-lightweight main event. It was the 15th KO victory for the 2004 Olympian, who responded to Smith’s initial attack by unleashing a series of precise punches which had Smith down twice he then became defenceless sagging under a volley of blows in Escobedo’s corner when the referee mercifully ended it.

Patrick Nielsen (12-0, 6 KOs) won the first title of his promising career, when he cruised to a clear points victory over Michael Schubov (13-7, 6 K0s). The 20-year-old Dane was in control throughout, doing damage with his right jab. He cleverly kept his opponent at bay and fired in southpaw lefts to body and head. In the ninth, a right sent Schubov down, but he scrambled back to his feet and lasted until the end. The scores were 100-89, 100-89 and 99-90 in favour of Nielsen. “I think Patrick did really well tonight,” promoter Nisse Sauerland said. “He was in full control and pleased his fans. He has a great future ahead and he proved it again tonight.”

Brook (26-0, 18 KO’s) seemed to hurt Galarza (18-3, 14 KO’s) in every round before the fight was finally called off with Galarza still upright.
