Huck Interested In The Klitschko’s
Huck - Klitschko Could Happen in Febuary or March !
Bernd Boente, the Klitschko brother’s manager has just revealed that WBO cruiser-weight champion Marco Huck is interested to go up against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. Bonte said that this fight could go ahead either in February or March of 2012.
“We are actively looking at opponents for Vitali and a fight with Huck will not be a problem except that we would need the fight to be shown on RTL and Huck’s promoters Sauerland Events, are contracted with the German Tv station ARD” said Boente
The Klitschko brothers said that they have been aware for some time of Huck’s interest in them; however they are approaching the German boxer’s declaration with caution as this is not the first time that Huck has shown interest but up to now this interest has not developed in any negotiations

World heavyweight champions: The Klitschko Brothers continue to dream of conquering all the major championship belts.
Wladimir Klitschko has promised that he will not surrender and will continue to negotiate with David Hay.

“We will not think about leaving boxing as long as Hay has the champion’s belt, which we lack.
Yes, this year’s meeting seems unlikely, but I keep hoping that he would not retire”.
“What I have to say is, well David can not brag about all his life of “a great fight with Harrison” Such an early retirement from boxing will be a betrayal to all his fans “- said Wladimir Klitschko

- Kameda retains WBA 112lb title- WBA flyweight champ Daiki Kameda (19-2, 11 KOs), 112, very barely kept his belt as he eked out a highly controversial split decision over totally aggressive Silvio Olteanu (11-4, 3 KOs), 112, European titlist of Romania, over twelve rounds on Sunday in Saitama, Japan. — The 32-year-old Romanian looked dominant and aggressive throughout the monotonous contest. Olteanu was the aggressor all the way. Probably the champ’s severe reduction of weight caused Kameda, 21, to be too sluggish to throw many punches only to retaliate with a punch at a time. The champ was said to be a hard-puncher, so his by far fewer punches might have been evaluated only by the two judges, but Olteanu, a soft-punching but much busier speedster, seemed to have controlled the bout and was apparently robbed. – Bantamweight Koki Kameda 23(15)-1(0)-0 defeated Alexander Munoz by UD 12 / 12 for the Vacant WBA World bantamweight title.
.
- Last Thursday’s weigh-in for the Ray Austin-Odlanier Solis heavyweight eliminator fight was unique in one concrete detail. In addition to the usual protocol of weighing the fighters and posing for face offs, a little boxing history was preserved. - That’s because promoter Don King met with Florida Boxing Hall of Fame President Walter “Butch” Flansburg and Vice President Sam Cohen afterwards to have his right hand cast in plaster. King, now 79 years young and refocused on his first boxing event since the recent loss of his wife, seemed in high spirits throughout the 40 minute process.
.
- Former WBC title challenger Suriyan Por Chokchai (15-5-1, 4 KOs) successfully grabbed the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) 112lb title as he won a unanimous decision over WBC #17 lightfly Takashi Kunishige (21-5-2, 2 KOs) on Friday at the Auditorium of Rajabhat University in Srisaket province, Thailand. After a close affair in the first four rounds, the show little by little turned to the Thai fighter who displayed more accurate punches, especially with a right straight. In round nine, Suriyan successfully dropped the Japanese fighter with a bodyshot although it was protested by Kunishige as a slip. After that it was an easy job for the local fighter to control the show and sweep all of last three rounds. All scorecards were 119-108.
.
- WBC #40 flyweight Saenmuangloei Kokietgym (6-3-1) successfully captured the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) 108 lb title as he stopped Indonesian Rian (reportedly 5-5-1) on Thursday at the Administrative Office of Chaikram in Donsak, Suratthani, Thailand. Saenmuangloei, a former WBC international title holder, surprisingly attacked the Indonesian and he rapidly dropped his foe with a vicious right hook in the opening round. Finally, the show was terminated in round two when the Thai fighter floored his contender again, forcing referee Thanawat Wongsasan to stop the bout at 0:55.

- Result - Friday 24 December 2023 - Thailand – Flyweight - Panomroonglek Kaiyarn-Hadaogym 30(16)-1(1)-0 defeated Javier Malulan, 13(7)-7(3)-0 by TKO 7 / 12 time: 1:24 - WBC International Silver flyweight title

- Haye has a choice — “We promise that in 2011 the fight against Haye will come,” said the Klitschko Brothers in a joint statement on BILD. “We want this fight at all costs! He can choose which of us he wants to step into the ring against to lose his world title.”
.
- World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) says he’s 85% sure he’ll be fighting IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) next, perhaps in April or May according to news from Sky Sports. Haye is trying to negotiate a fight with Wladimir Klitschko for early 2011 so that Haye can make his October 2011 retirement deadline. He wants to fight both Klitschko brothers by that time and unify all of the heavyweight titles, not just three of the four. He wants all four before he retires.
.
- Former IBF flyweight champion Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) has the tough task of facing the hard punching WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KO’s) on February 19th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Up until this fight, Donaire, 28, has been accustomed to being the bigger the bigger puncher in his fights. That streak of facing nothing but weak punchers is about to end in February when he takes on fighter that is a bigger puncher than him in 31-year-old Montiel.
.
- Bradley vs Alexander — Unbeaten WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (26-0, 11 KO’s) will be making his move for the number one position in the light welterweight division by taking on WBC light welterweight title holder Devon Alexander (21-0, 13 KO’s) on January 29th at the Silverdome, in Pontiac, Michigan.
.
- If WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (35-2, 28 KO’s) can get by his next fight against former two division world champion 37-year-old Ricard Mayorga (29-7-1, 23 KO’s), Cotto will be facing Antonio Margarito in a rematch during the Summer months. Cotto, 30, was beaten up badly and stopped by Margarito two years ago in 2008. It was like watching Cotto get ripped part by Manny Pacquiao. Cotto was forced to run all fight long to avoid Margarito’s heavy hands, but in the 10 round, Margarito was finally able to catch up to a tired Cotto and hurt him with some big uppercuts near the end of the round.

- British heavyweight Audley Harrison is facing the possibility of loseing his £1million purse for Saturday’s three round TKO loss to WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. The British Boxing Board of Control is investigating Audley’s performance, which saw him throw three punches in three rounds. They are very upset with the level of performance and how the fight played out. BBBC secretary Robert Smith said: “Withholding some or all of Audley Harrison’s purse is something which we will have to sit down and consider, bearing in mind it was such a letdown for the 22,000 people at the MEN Arena and the thousands watching at home. — “We’ve withheld purses in the past on many occasions when we feel a fighter has not tried. Myself and the BBBC chairman Charles Giles will watch the fight again then make a decision, but we have the authority to rescind purses and we would not be afraid to use that. Audley Harrison has not been paid yet, so it is something we can do”.
.
- Chagaev ready for Haye — Yesterday Universum heavyweight Ruslan Chagaev (26-1-1, 17 KOs) watched the “Battle of Britain” between WBA champion David Haye and 2000 Olympic gold medalist Audley Harrison on TV. Chagaev, the WBA mandatory challenger, is the next opponent for Haye who won by third round TKO. “I am totally disappointed by this performance,” commented Chagaev. “This fight was not at world championship level. Harrison didn’t do anything. In three rounds I saw three jabs. That’s it. And this was in a world championship fight. Haye only waited for the first two rounds, if he had started earlier, everyone could have gone to bed. I was as disappointed as the 22,000 spectators in the arena”.
.
- Haye is now being targeted by the Klitschko brothers for a bout next year. Bernd Bonte, the manager for the Klitschkos, is hoping Haye will agree to fight one of the Klitschko brothers next, possibly in Wembly Stadium. — In an article at cityam.com, Bonte said “We would be more than happy to make that fight. We already had a signed agreement [speaking about Haye’s previous agreement to fight Wladimir last year] but he [Haye] bailed out.” — Bonte continued saying “We want everything in one pot, with a 50-50 split. We would like to do the fight, but as long as we have a 50-50 split. We want the biggest money in the pot. If it comes from a sold out Wembly then we will go there.”

- Freddie Roach Says to Mayweather step up or leave the country — Roach thinks the times has come for Mayweather to step up to the plate. He says Mayweather needs to take the fight or leave the country, because the boxing public in the United States would never forgive him if the fight doesn’t happen. - “Let’s face it. Manny’s way above him at this point because I remember when he (Mayweather) was ducking Margarito and he wouldn’t fight him either. If he doesn’t fight Manny now, we know this guy should retire,” Roach said.
.
- Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito Post Fight Interview — The fight with Margarito was one-sided and brutal, but Pacquiao admits that a bodyshot in the sixth hurt him badly and he was lucky to make it to the seventh round. Chisora Vs The Klitschko Brother’s
Bernd Bente the representative of K2 Promotions, the Klitschko brother’s promotional company has confirmed that the fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Derek Chisora will be held on Dec. 11 at the Sports Arena SAP Arena in the German city of Mannheim.
But here is the cruncher; Dereck Chisora has signed to fight not one, but BOTH Klitschko brothers. The unbeaten Londoner first takes on WBO/IBF world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on December 11 in Mannheim, Germany, and if he wins then he could face Vitali, the WBC world champion, next.
In an interview with Ukrainian on line publication Prosport, Vladimir Klitschko said ”I know that Derek Chisora is a very dangerous opponent -.- He is a young, fast and has a powerful impact. My trainer Emanuel Steward has warned against underestimating Chisory and reminded of the great Muhammad Ali, who lost his title in 1978 by Leon Spinks, who had only eight bout of professional boxing. I will not underestimate Chisora. My preparation for the battle will be just as intense as ever, and I will not give Chisora no chance. ”
On the other hand - Chisora, 26, says he will be the man to end the Klitschkos reign of heavyweight boxing. - “This is about glory for me and becoming the heavyweight champion of the world, something I’ve dreamed about since I started boxing,” said Chisora.
“Haye will not fight the Klitschkos as long as they are champions, but I’m up for the fight and will take them on,” - “The Klitschkos have ruled for too long and I can’t wait to get into the ring in Germany and smash the living daylights out of Wladimir first,”
“Vitali is waiting in the background and I’ll deal with him once I’ve dealt with Wladimir,”
“Wladimir is a good strong champion, technically excellent, but I believe I can bring something new to beat him,” - “I’m a young, fresh and hungry challenger and I’ve got the punch back me up,” - “An opportunity like this may not come around again or for a long time so I’ve got to take it now and believe me, one shot is all I need.”
Finchley puncher Chisora beat rival Sam Sexton to claim the Commonwealth title last month and earlier this year he ended the career of Danny Williams.
Frank Warren, who signed Chisora after he won the 2005 ABA Super-Heavyweight title, said, ” This is a tough fight for Del and a big step up for him, but he’s confident that he can do a job on Wladimir,”
