- Bozic injury confirmed - WBA #9 super middleweight Stjepan Bozic has been diagnosed with ligament damage to his index finger metacarpophalangeal joint – probably an old injury that was aggrevated when he punched Arthur Abraham’s elbow on February 12. On Thursday the Sauerland team received the official medical documentation and MRI results from Croatia and ring doctor Dr. Hubert Klauser, a specialist for orthopedics, surgery and hand surgery, confirmed the injury after viewing the supplied information, adding that Bozic should do no punching for at least six weeks and put stress on the hand only sparingly. The findings vindicate Bozic who was accused of faking the injury. “I’m no actor,” said Bozic. “I would have gladly given the fans a longer fight with an another, better ending. Unfortunately, with the injury it wasn’t possible, as confirmed by the MRI.”
