Ireland’s Katie Taylor moved to within one bout of winning her third European Union lightweight title in a row with a convincing semi-final win over Julianna Rocha of Poland in Keszthely, Hungary today.
The 24 year old Bray woman had her hand raised in victory after earning a 9-3 decision.
She'll now meet Denica Eliseeva of Bulgaria in Saturday's final in a repeat of the 2009 European Union final which Taylor won 8-1 in Bulgaria.
Today's victory was Taylor's 94th win from 100 bouts since 2001.
Taylor, the AIBA World and European champion, has won three bouts in three days in Hungary so far.
