Haste Makes Waste And A Need To Send A Statement Of Correction
To clear up the confusion on how to watch the "Time For Truth" boxing show from Calgary, Alberta on January 13th, 2012. Fans can either go the venue (Desperado's Night Club in Calgary) or boxing arm chair devotees can stay at home and click on the following link: http://www.gfl.tv/Events/Boxing/Time_for_Truth_Trotter_vs_Trupish/1302
Unfortunately, some fans were told the word for was capitalized. In reality the mistake was made by GFL tv; but it is easier to take the blame and move on. What is important is to serve the boxing fan and this email should do that. We all know that the slightest deviation in a link can make a huge difference....sorry! The cost is $9.99 and the main event features Light Middleweights Janks Trotter vs Adam "The A-Bomb" Trupish in a 10 round NABA Title fight. It is the hope of Fan Base Promotions to set a record for number of online viewers watching a boxing match and the error mentioned doesn't help. Hopefully, everyone will pass the word and a record will be established. Sincere apologizes to everyone who was ambushed by this simple mistake. This early admission should remedy the situation. Here is a Time For Truth show update:
The Co-Main remains the same...Steve "The Dragon" Claggett vs Ryan Wagner in a scheduled for 8 rounds light Welterweight contest. Claggett was expected to face Rory Coveney but when the favored Coveney lost to Wagner in a 6 round decision; it seemed kosher to pit Wagner (4-1- w/ 2 knockouts) against Calgary super hero Claggett. Wagner hails from Orangeville, Ontario. Claggett will enter the battle with a 12-1-1 record...7 of those victories resulted in knockouts.
The under Card is very intriguing : American boxer Andrew "Hurricane" Hernandez aka "The Fighting Pride of Phoenix" steps up in competition when he takes on "Silent" Steve Franjic from Orangeville, Ontario in a six round 172 pound contest. The 26 year old Hernandez turned professional in 2010 and his record stands at 3-0 with no knockouts. He is coached and trained by the renowned Jerry Cheatum. a member of Arizona's Boxing Hall of Fame. Franjic is the better known of the two fighters. He owns a 7-0 record w/ 4 knockouts and his amateur slate is very impressive...110 wins versus 30 defeats. He is coached by 2 time Canadian Boxing Champion, Bryon Mackie.
Also on the under card: Albert " The Punisher" Onolunose, born in Nigeria and now fighting out of Calgary, Alberta continues his comeback in an 8 round super middleweight contest contest against tough Jason "Notorious" Naugler from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Onolunose brings a record of 19-1 w/ 7 knockouts. He has looked impressive in his sparring sessions with Headliner Janks Trotter. Onolunose's only loss was in 2009 when Grady Brewer knocked him out in a title bout. Albert returned to the ring on November 19, 20ll in Calgary where he decisioned Martin Desjardins. Naugler is a former Canadian Champion and he thinks he can beat Albert and regain some of the respect and prestige he had before he was knocked out by Jesus "El Martillo" Gonzales. January 13 could be aday of restoration for him.
