Manny Pacquiao and Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley, Jr. kicked off their two-city, coast-to-coast media tour today with a Los Angeles news conference at The Beverly Hills Hotel. Pacquiao, Bradley, their respective trainers Freddie Roach and Joel Diaz, and Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum officially announced the June 9 fight, which will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and be a blockbuster pay-per-view event.
This opportunity is something I dreamed all my whole life, eighteen years of my career since I was an amateur to be in the position in a super-mega fight in with the best pound for pound in the game and probably the best fighter in the history of boxing by some peoples stand point, but I’m ready for this challenge I know it’s going to be hell in the ring with Manny Pacquiao. I don’t have to say anything negative or bad about him, he’s a great person, he’s a great role model for the kids, I really like Manny Pacquiao in and outside of the ring and I think June 9th it’s my time. Manny Pacquiao has reigned for a very long time and I feel I’m a new face in boxing and I feel it’s going to be one heck of a challenge but I’m up for it and I’m capable of winning this fight. Thank you for all coming, don’t miss it June 9th for history being made.
First of all I want to thank God for all the blessing He gives to us. Timothy Bradley is a strong fighter he likes to fight toe to toe, he’s undefeatted theres going to be a lot of boxing in the ring, and we’re going to train hard, at least 10 weeks of training for this fight, and I hope the same thing with Timothy Bradley who will train hard for this fight so we can give a good fight and we could entertain people especially to all the people who are going to watch the fight on June 9th and thank you to all the boxing fans.
