UFC 128UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones is to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on March 19, 2011 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey

UFC 128 will feature two preliminary fights live on Spike TV,and on March 7, it was announced that the Almeida/Pyle and Pellegrino/Tibau fights will stream live on the UFC's official Facebook page.

On March 12th, it was announced that Yoshihiro Akiyama had to pull out of his fight with Nate Marquardt due to the tragedy in Japan. Dana White announced via Twitter that Dan Miller would be stepping up from the prelims to replace Akiyama on the main card.[21] Miller's original opponent Nick Catone will now face UFC newcomer Costantinos Philippou in a 195 pound catchweight bout.

Saturday's encounter between octagon Wunderkind Jon "Bones" Jones and the ultra-talented, veteran Brazilian Mauricio "Shogun" Rua promises to be a stone cold classic.

Ever since the fight was announced, following Jones's seemingly effortless dismantling of wrestling stud Ryan Bader, MMA fans have been near drawling at the prospect of seeing "Bones" tested against the very best in the light-heavyweight division.

Despite a stumbling start in the UFC, when he lost to Forrest Griffin in one of the biggest shocks in MMA history, Rua now sits at the top of the 205Ibs food chain having knocked out the apparently invincible Lyoto Machida in the first round of UFC 113 match.

Save for a disqualification loss against Matt Hamill, Jones has barely put a foot wrong in the UFC. Displaying remarkable athleticism and exhibiting an astonishing array of moves and technique, he has stream rolled all before him in the octagon. Perhaps more than any other fighter in recent memory Jones, as Joe Rogan said, "stands out" from the pack.
