The UFC held THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 13 FINALE on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at The Pearl at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the main event, Tony "El Cucuy" Ferguson won the 14-man welterweight tournament to become the new Ultimate Fighter. Both Ferguson and his opponent, Ramsey Nijem, finished all 3 of their exhibition fights during the show to make it to the live finale. Ferguson was forced to use defensive wrestling at first against Nijem, after Nijem came out aggressive to start the fight. As the first round went on, Ferguson started to look more comfortable on his feet, until he was finally able to land a sweet left hook that dropped Nijem with just over a minute left in the opening round.

Anthony Pettis entered 2011 having been promised a UFC lightweight title shot. His loss to Clay Guida at Saturday night's Ultimate Fighter Finale ensures that he'll end 2011 without having fought for the title.

Ed Herman and Tim Credeur had both been out of MMA for almost two years before they met at Saturday night's Ultimate Fighter Finale in Las Vegas. When they finally got into the cage, it lasted less than a minute. Just 45 seconds into the first round, Herman landed a huge uppercut to Credeur's chin, knocking him down, flat on his back on the canvas. Herman pounced and landed a couple of hard punches on the ground to knock Credeur out, and the fight came to a sudden end, with Herman earning a first-round knockout. The official time of the stoppage was 48 seconds.
