  • Brett Albee vs. Virgil Zwicker set for "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley - A heavyweight bout between Brett Albee and Virgil Zwicker has been added to the "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley" preliminary card. "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley" takes place April 9 at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, and the main card airs live on Showtime.

  • Shane Carwin says he was not paid by one of his sponsors for the failed title challenge against Brock Lesnar. Incredibly, the unnamed company is alleging that Carwin threw the fight and is using that claim as grounds to withold payment. Carwin lost to Lesnar by second-round submission after putting the then-champion in severe difficulties in the first. Carwin ran out of steam after a ground n pound barrage, leading to the reversal in Lesnar’s favour. Carwin revealed the situation via his Twitter account today, although he did not reveal who the sponsor is or the amount he is owed.

  • Chael Sonnen Sentencing Postponed - Sonnen will have to wait a little bit longer before he can restart his career. A sentencing hearing expected to serve the UFC middleweight with two years of probation, a $10,000 fine and the revocation of his real-estate license has been rescheduled from today to April 8 at the U.S. District Court building in downtown Portland, Ore. In January Sonnen pleaded guilty to a federal charge of money laundering stemming from a shady real estate deal in 2006.

  • STRIKEFORCE Challengers - Unbeaten light heavyweight Lorenz “The Monsoon’’ Larkin (fighting out of Riverside, Calif. / 8-0) will replace Satoshi Ishii and take on kickboxing specialist Scott “Lights Out’’ Lighty (fighting out of San Luis Obispo, Calif./ 6-1) on the STRIKEFORCE Challengers card on Friday, April 1, at Stockton Arena in Stockton, Calif. In the televised main event, former NCAA wrestling standout and body builder Justin “The Silverback’’ Wilcox (10-3), of San Jose, will face Brazil’s Rodrigo Damm (9-4) in a lightweight bout. The event, which is presented by Rockstar Energy Drink, will air live on SHOWTIME® at 11 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).

  • Thiago Silva is being accused of supplying a urine sample that was not from a human source. On January 1, 2011, SILVA participated in a mixed martial arts contest in Las Vegas, Nevada, which he won by unanimous decision (the “Contest”).  Immediately before the Contest, on the same date, SILVA voluntarily submitted to urinalysis (the "Urinalysis") and submitted a specimen for testing. The Urinalysis reflects a Complete-Invalid Result indicating that the specimen submitted by SILVA is inconsistent with human urine. The specimen submitted by SIVLA was also tested by the Sports Medicine Research & Testing Laboratory, which is accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency.

  • Urijah Faber interview - FightHubTV.com did an interview recently with Urijah Faber talking about his thoughts coming out of the UFC 128 win over Eddie Wineland. UFC announced last Saturday that Faber and Cruz will fight for the promotion’s Bantamweight title in July in Las Vegas.
