Boxing Returns Back To City Of Cospicua

Members of BOXWAY FITNESS CENTRE, DIONE Boxing Club, NOBLE Gym, The Art of Fighting and YINGYANG Kickboxing Club, will compete at the RIALTO HALL, A Scheduled Grade II historical building built in the early 1950's, located in Cospicua, Malta, this Friday the 13th April 2012.
This large, stylish building was one of the most popular venues of its time and now Maltese Amateur Boxing has the honour to host this tournament under its roof, which can accommodate over a thousand spectators in a unique nostaligic atmosphere of yesteryear.
Boxway Fitness Centre are the main coordinators for this five team event, which is expected to attract boxers and their fans from around the surrounding areas.

The official weighing In, which is open to the press and the public, will be held at the Boxway Fitness Centre, tomorrow Thursday 12th April 2012 at 6:00pm.

“This is all about the boxers,” Micallef said. “They’re the ones getting in the ring. They’ve worked so hard for this. Everybody who steps through the ropes is elite and the aim of this event is to promote the Olympic year, “London 2012” were boxing is expected to start around late June. The 2012 London Olympics’ is one to be thought of as a historical mild stone achievement as for the first time since the start of the games, female boxers will compete over 3 days for the Olympic medals.”
Organisers have 10 bouts lined-up for the Rialto Hall show. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m and the fight fight will start at 7;30pm.
