Australia Boxing News - Danny Green will make the third defence of his IBO cruiserweight boxing world title against countryman Paul Briggs in Sydney on July 21.

Queenslander Briggs, who twice fought Poland's Tomasz Adamek for a light heavyweight world title, will end a three-year absence from the ring when they clash at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

Recently, a bronze statue of former world boxing champion Lionel Rose has been unveiled at Warragul, east of Melbourne. Lionel Rose, 61, shed tears as a crowd of locals and boxing greats, including Jeff Fenech, gathered in the Gippsland town of Warragul for the unveiling of the statue.
