Thai Boxing Report (Combat Games)

altBeijing, 29th August-The Thai traditional music announced the beginning of Muaythai at Sportaccord Combat Games 2010 Beijing. Muaythai, which is regarded as the ultimate combat, has a deep bond with the Thai traditional culture and profound link with religion. Ceremonies, such as apprenticeship to a master, combat courtesy and Thai dancing, are the demonstration of Thai’s rich religious art. One deceased Muaythai master once said: Muaythai is the treasure of all the Thai people. Nowadays, Muaythai enjoys a striking popularity across the world.

The first combat of Muaythai was Men’s 54kg Quarter Final. Malaysian athlete YAAKUB MA swept the table against Iran’s MADAI M. with the prayer of the music, Malaysian athlete quickly got into his position after the fathom in first round. His precise hit knocked the Iranian in the third round.

Spectators’ warm cheers unveiled the curtain of second combat. In Men’s 54kg Quarter Final, LIAO Zhenghui fought with integrity against Thai’s PALEENARAM S. Therefore, the glorious defeat didn’t depress us.

In Men’s 57kg Quarter Final, Chinese Wang Kang hit MADADI B from Kazakhstanmercilessly, which won him a ticket to Semi Final.

1:4, the final score of Men’s 63.5kg Quarter Final, witnessed the defeat of China’s ZHANG Dezheng against Sweden’s AKHTAR. Winner’s powerful kick prevented ZHANG’s chance to enter the Semi Final.

Another ticket for Semi Final was gained by ZHANG Xiaolong from China. His brisk pace and vigilant duck made up for his short height.

Eight ranks of Men’s Muaythai and three ranks of Women’s Muaythai took place tonight. The Semi Finals will begin on 31 August. Let’s wait for the extreme confrontation presented by the athletes.

King of Boxing ZOU Shiming won in his opening fight (Combat Games)

BEIJING, 30th August – When mentioned boxing, Chinese athlete ZOU Shiming is so famous that even women and children all know. His playing– “Private assault” is well known in the world. His fists are fast and fierce. And when he offenses, he could rise his fists in jig time. When he defenses, he could seek the chance to onset suddenly, scoring the points easily. As a Chinese saying, “No pride for the victory, no discouragement for the failure, those who keep calm physically and mentally, can be the ace.” There is no doubt that he will live forever in the history of boxing, being the leader of Chinese Boxers.

In the game of Men’s boxing 56 KG Quarter Final, ZOU Shiming beat his opponent, DAWID JAGODZINSKI (POL). He is so experienced that he performed very well both in the offense and defense, winning the 1st round with the score of 3-0. In the second round, his flexible movements confused his competitor, who is not able to strike back any more. ZOU Shiming brought his lead to 6-0. In the 3rd round, ZOU Shiming hold the dominate position, making the game done soon. His excellent performance offers a great feast for eyes to the spectators.

Zou Shiming will move on. It is only a beginning of his fascinating games.

JUANMEDINA HERRAD (DOM) entered the game of boxing Men’s 46-49 KG Final. MAHAMMAD ALWADI (JO) gets the access to the game of boxing Men’s 56 KG Semi Final. AHMAD ATEIMAT (JO) will appear in the court of boxing Men’s 91 KG Semi Final, and the same goes for TOMASZ DUSZAK, from Poland.

Juan Manuel Lopez Vs Rafael Marquez

Promoter Gary Shaw has confirmed that the featherweight battle between Rafael Marquez (39-5, 35 KOs) and WBO champion Juan Manuel Lopez (29-0, 26 KOs) is heading to the MGM Grand on November 6. Showtime will televise. The fight was previously scheduled for September 18, but Marquez suffered a right thumb injury which caused a postponement.

Tyson Fury Vs Donnell Holmes

Unbeaten heavyweight hopeful Tyson Fury  will now apparently face Donnell “The Real Touch Of Sleep” Holmes in his U.S TV debut. Originally set to take a step up in class against tough and durable Jason Gavern in his fight to be shown on Showbox: the next generation on September 10th, the 22-year-old will now box the 37-year-old with the impressive-looking 32-1-2(28) pro record.

This has been reported by Dan Rafael on his Twitter page, and the Fury-Holmes fight is up as happening, at originally planned venue The York Hall in London, on Boxrec.

Felix Sturm Vs Giovanni Lorenzo

WBA Super Champion Felix Sturm and Giovanni Lorenzo were face to face for the first time at today’s press conference for their middleweight title fight this Saturday (Sept. 4) in Cologne, Germany.

“There’s no doubt about me winning the fight and becoming champion of the world”, said Lorenzo.

Felix Sturm wasn’t too impressed with Lorenzo running his mouth: “Talk is cheap. I heard he said that he will stop me within five or six rounds. We will see who will be on the receiving end on Saturday. All I can say is that I am very well prepared and all fired up for this fight” , said Sturm.
